Apparently, during his arrest, Killer Mike wrote on his X account a series of emoticons representing his three awards with the words "thank you God."
Mike's first win was for his rap performance of “Scientists & Engineers,” which also won the best rap song category.

Mike also won best rap album for “Michael.”
Before Sunday, the 48-year-old activist had won his last Grammy in 2003 for best rap duo or group performance for “The Whole World.”
As he collected his third award, the Atlanta rapper shouted, “That was a sweep!

He has also been an activist who has spoken out against inequality for black people and became a strong supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders' 2016 US presidential campaign.
The Grammy winner hosted Netflix's “Trigger Warning with Killer Mike,” a 2019 documentary series about issues affecting the Black community.
He also made an emotional call to calm a protest against police brutality that turned violent in Atlanta.
