The prestigious academic institution was harshly criticized by Democratic American Senator John Peterman after it decided to host Professor Dalal Saeb Erekat in a theoretical seminar under the title "Dialogues in the Middle East", who justified Hamas on October 7 and also accused the State of Israel that the large spillage of uniforms is its fault.

In a post he tweeted on X (Twitter), Peterman wrote: "I am absolutely appalled that the Kennedy School (in Harvard) will give a platform to a person who celebrates and justifies the killing by Hamas on October 7 of Israeli civilians - babies, children, the elderly, and the rape, stunning and torture of girls and young women."

Peterman added that "this hatred has no place in any discourse. Logic demands that it be pushed into the sewers of the fringes of social media."

Peterman also said: "As a graduate and a member of the United States Senate, after 25 years, it is difficult for me to recognize my former university."

I am truly appalled that the Kennedy School would platform an individual who celebrates and justifies Hamas' October 7th killing of Israeli citizens—babies, children, the elderly, and the systemic, rape, mutilation, and torture of young girls and women.

Dalal Saeb Erekat, the controversial professor is a columnist and associate professor at the Arab-American University in the Palestinian Authority.

She is scheduled to speak at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs on March 7 as part of the Middle East Dialogues seminar series.

As mentioned, Erekat caused controversy when she accused the Israeli government of the bloodshed on October 7.

"Today is just a normal fight for freedom," X tweeted on October 7, while Hamas terrorists are brutally murdering the towns of Ofet and Mesiva Nova.

In response to the Fox News website that contacted him about the matter, Harvard said: "The organizer of the event, Professor Tarek Massoud, chose and invited the speakers for the series of meetings himself. The purpose of the series is to provide a place for discussion and debate, recognizing that different positions will be proposed and challenged - including opinions held by many at the Kennedy School and beyond They may strongly disagree with them and even find it repulsive."

Speakers in the "Middle East Dialogues" series will also include Jared Kushner, former senior adviser to President Donald Trump;

Matt Dass, former foreign policy adviser to Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.;

Salam Fayed, former prime minister of the Palestinian Authority;

And former Knesset member Einat Wilf.

Harvard further stated that "all speakers must answer unfiltered questions from the audience as well as from the faculty member who invited them. An invitation to speak at the Kennedy School never implies approval of the speaker's views by the Kennedy School or members of the Kennedy School community."
