At 67 years old, Monique D., resident of Senlis, is older than most of the defendants appearing this Monday before the Senlis court.

However, the victim, his ex-partner, is even older, since it was at the age of 84 that he suffered violence from his former partner on May 23.

In front of the residence for the elderly, in Senlis, where the man has lived since their stormy separation, the octogenarian is awaited by Monique, whom he no longer wants to see, as he instructed the residence staff. .

The discussion then turns into a confrontation and Monique stabs the old man in the shoulder blade with a kitchen knife, who escapes with a minor injury.

Initially, an investigation was opened for attempted murder, in particular because the city's video surveillance images showed that the defendant's car made several passes in front of the retirement home, as if she was watching for her ex-companion. .

The case will ultimately be reclassified as aggravated violence.

The retiree was sentenced to eight months in prison with a probationary suspension, including an obligation of care and a ban on having contact with the victim.

“The old man with the bloody face”

A few days before the attack, Monique D. had interrupted her treatment, which undoubtedly influenced her actions and the alteration of her judgment at the time of the events.

On the day of the incident, the police found Monique at her home after breaking down the door of her home.

The retiree, lying unconscious on her bed, took medication in order to put an end to it.

Following this episode, the sixty-year-old was automatically interned and it was accompanied by staff from the Fitz-James psychiatric hospital that she appeared before the Senlis judges.

“I was at the end of my nerves,” the sixty-year-old explained in court, “this man ruined my life.

» It seems that when they lived together, arguments became commonplace within the couple.

While Monique sent emails with obscure content almost daily to the Senlis gendarmerie brigade, notably involving her then partner, several neighbors testify to having seen "the old gentleman with his face in blood" or "sleeping on the landing.”
