This is the home stretch of the legislative elections in Pakistan.
Thursday, February 8, 128 million voters will be called to the polls to elect their deputies to Parliament and the Provincial Assemblies.
Former cricket star Imran Khan would have a serious chance of winning a majority with his party, the PTI.
His popularity rating exceeds that of his competitors with 57% favorable opinion, according to a Gallup poll carried out in December.
However, his formation could finish behind its main competitor, the Pakistan Muslim League of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Because Imran Khan, who was head of government from 2018 to 2022, cannot run.
He was sentenced last week to three prison sentences totaling 31 years of detention, notably for corruption.
Most of his advisors are languishing in cells.
