King Charles III of England suffers from "a form of cancer," Buckingham Palace reported this Monday, while they confirmed that the monarch has already begun a "schedule of regular treatments" that will keep him away from public duties.
"During The King's recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted," begins the statement released through social media.
"Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer," they indicated.
Charles III reportedly "has today begun a schedule of regular treatments, during which time doctors advised him to postpone public duties."
"Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to carry out state affairs and official roles as usual," they clarified.
