More than 500 m2 are still to be fitted out by mid-February and the new building of Codir, a subsidiary of Krys Group, bringing together its industrial and logistics activities, will be fully operational.
The factory had reached saturation.
Located in the countryside, in Bazainville (Yvelines), it opened in 1998, where the purchasing center and logistics branch of the cooperative group had been located eighteen years earlier.
Originally, the factory was sized to manufacture 400,000 glasses per year.
A number largely exceeded, since 1.4 million glasses have been produced there each year since 2021.
Thanks to this brand new building, with a surface area of 4800m2, which meets HQE (high environmental quality) standards, Krys Group will repatriate to France all of its high value-added production, that of progressive lenses, and will achieve 30% of more glasses, or 1.8 million.
