Major police operation in Füssen: Because an 18-year-old was handling a deceptively real-looking soft air gun in the garden yesterday, Sunday afternoon, numerous police forces were called in.
Major police operation in Füssen - officers confiscate weapon
Concerned residents had previously informed the police that a man with an assault rifle was walking around in a garden on Keltensteinstrasse and taking aim.
Numerous emergency services then moved to the scene.
However, on site, officers discovered that it was a soft-air gun and that an 18-year-old was handling it in the garden.

According to their own statements, the police officers seized the weapon for further examination.
Because the man was handling the weapon in a way that was visible to the public, he put his life in danger, the police said.
The weapon looked deceptively similar to a real rifle and could only be recognized as harmless by the emergency services from close proximity.
No one was injured during the operation.
The police are now checking whether the young man has to bear the costs of the large-scale operation.
A 30-year-old walking around with a blank-firing revolver and an air pistol caused a stir in Füssen on Sunday.
