EHC Klostersee finished the main round in 6th place and thus qualified directly for the quarter-finals
Grafing – “Playoffs, here we come!” EHC Klostersee finished the Bayernliga main round in sixth place and thus qualified directly for the quarter-finals.
The Grafingers completed the task on their own ice against the Eispireten Dorfen (5:2) without much spectacle or attention.
The red and whites were also dependent on a slip-up by the Landsberg Riverkings.
The team from Lechstadt stumbled unexpectedly, but just as hoped (at the EHC) in Schweinfurt.
The Riverkings' 3:4 win away to the Mighty Dogs meant they swapped places.
Landsberg, in seventh place, now has to try to reach the quarter-finals of the knockout round via the pre-playoffs (“best of three” series) against the Ulm/Neu-Ulm Devils.
On February 16th we will face Miesbach for the first time
This also applies to the Amberg Wild Lions against the Buchloe Pirates.
The two series losers go into the relegation round, in which the Schongau Mammuts, Geretsried River Rats, Dingolfing Isar Rats, Schweinfurt Mighty Dogs, Eisspiraten Dorfen and Pfaffenhofen Eishogs also fight to stay in the league.
Two pairings in the playoff quarter-finals (“best of seven” series) have already been determined: EHC Klostersee will meet TEV Miesbach, first away on Friday, February 16th (8 p.m.) and for the first time on Sunday, February 18th from 5:30 p.m at home in the Wildbräu Arena.
The reigning Bayernliga champions Königsbrunn Pinguine are up against the Kempten Sharks.
The Erding Gladiators and the Peißenberg Miners are waiting for the two winners of the pre-playoffs.
