After the accident at a carnival parade in Kehl, the question of safety also arises.
According to the organizer, the cars were checked beforehand.
Kehl - According to the organizer, the carnival floats for the parade in Kehl, Baden, were previously inspected by the TÜV.
“Otherwise they won’t be allowed to come,” said Stefan Kaiser, first chairman of the Kehler Fastnacht support association, to the German Press Agency on Monday in Kehl, Baden.
This also applies to the car belonging to the group of fools from the Black Forest town of Glottertal, which caught fire during the parade on Sunday.
According to police, one man was seriously injured and seven people suffered minor injuries.
“We have the TÜV certificate sent to us by email in advance,” said Kaiser.
In addition, the organizers check the wagons before the parade to ensure that no people can get under the vehicles, as Kaiser said.
According to him, the support association is the main organizer of the parade.
Kaiser called the momentous incident an “isolated accident.”
According to police, the burned-out trailer was recovered.
The police initially said the cause of the fire was the deflagration of an engine on a trailer.
