An estimated 3,500 visitors came to watch the spectacle.
Most of them dressed up, from young to old.
The organizer is Alexander Mößmer, an original Steingaden resident who has always been passionate about carnival and who puts his heart and soul into organizing the carnival parade, which is sometimes quite stressful, as he reveals and adds: “But everyone is behind me.” The community, the football club, the fire department, the people of Steingaden and also his friend “DJ Tomix” were there.

As usual, Mößmer moderated the entire carnival parade in a professional manner, encouraged the audience to be in the best party mood and, at the same time, ensured that safety was ensured.
Party foam and lots of music
The fact that it was important that everyone stayed behind the barriers became clear when the huge cars turned the corner just past the house walls and needed a lot of space for maneuvering.
Carnival party music boomed from the cars, which were tactfully made to swing by the celebrating and good-humored crew.
To the great happiness of the masked children behind the barrier tape, tons of colorful candies flew everywhere.
But there were also wood chips flying through the air from the wolf wagon, which represented the hunter shooting a wolf from the Saulgruber boys' club.
The people of Niedersonthofen organized an après-ski party and let party foam fly through the air and into the faces of the visitors to the beat from the speakers.

The sacred floor of the new gymnasium in Steingaden, with reference to the requirement that it should be protected from wear for events with a previously laid out carpet, was presented by the members of the Steingaden group called “BGM-Weeber-Straße”. Schongau Hospital was the topic
A current topic that is clearly affecting the entire district is the closure of the maternity ward in the Schongau hospital: This was presented by the Peiting rural youth with their car, which showed a mobile maternity ward.
But the Altenstadt rural youth group also addressed the fear of the Schongau hospital being closed by drawing attention to the lack of a landing pad for rescue helicopters at the Weilheim hospital: two yellow helicopters happily circled the car in a continuous loop.
A total of 29 themed floats took part in the second Steingaden carnival parade.
When asked what organizer Mößmer wanted for the future, he replied: “That the parade could be even bigger, that the atmosphere stays so good and that we all continue to help together so well.” And he revealed that the parade will also be in the will take place again next year without admission.
