The time will come at the end of 2025: the Alpine bus will start rolling, and Reichersbeuern will also be connected.

The community would welcome a second stop.

Reichersbeuern

– The east-west connection with buses in the Oberland is to be strengthened in the future.

As currently reported, the Alpine bus is to be set up to run between Rosenheim and Murnau.

There will be a total of two express bus routes: a western branch from Murnau via Penzberg to Bad Tölz and an eastern branch that leads from Bad Tölz via Gmund and Miesbach to Rosenheim.

The latter line also has an express connection from Bad Tölz via Miesbach to Rosenheim.

According to the draft timetable, the municipality of Reichersbeuern should be a stopping point for the latter connection.

This means an all-day hourly bus connection to Miesbach and Bad Tölz.

At the local council meeting on Friday evening, the councilors discussed a proposal from a citizen who is campaigning for Reichersbeuern to also be connected to the line via Gmund.

“Then we would have a half-hourly service and a direct connection to, for example, the Agatharied Hospital,” explained Mayor Ernst Dieckmann (FW).

“We want to make it clear to the district that it would be nice if the express bus also stopped in Reichersbeuern.” Since it is clear that an express connection cannot be routed through all the villages on the route, the stop could possibly be outside at the emergency stop take place.

“That would only be a minimal stop in terms of time – but we would be connected.”

Proposal should be put forward

“It certainly won’t do any harm,” said Margit Engl (Green Party), supporting the idea.

“But a bus stop out there at the emergency stop is too far away.” Overall, all councilors were of the opinion that the idea should definitely be put forward.

The connection in the direction of Miesbach is particularly interesting, says Dieckmann, since you have the train in the direction of Tölz.

“We can at least put the proposal forward,” said the mayor.

This was decided unanimously.
