The canteen of a building “Am Latterbach” in Herzogsägmühle received an unpleasant visitor at the weekend.
The crime could be related to other burglaries.
Herzogsägmühle - According to the police's initial findings, the perpetrator or perpetrators struck between last Friday, 12.30 p.m., and this Monday, 7 a.m.
They smashed the canteen window with a stone.
The window was then opened from the inside, said Schongau's deputy police chief Toni Müller.
This is how the perpetrators gained access to the inside of the building.
However, they didn't make much booty.
“Apparently nothing was damaged in the canteen and nothing was stolen,” said Müller.
Presumably the unwelcome visitor eventually left the crime scene the same way he came.
Burglars struck two weeks ago
It is not the first time that a Diakonie Herzogsägmühle facility has been the target of a break-in.
Just two weeks ago, unknown people struck in three places in one night when they smashed the windows of a café on the village square, a dormitory in Kapellenfeld and a Herzogsägmühler Werkstätten workshop on Schachtstrasse in Peiting and gained access to the buildings.
The only thing stolen was a cash box with a tip of around 35 euros (we reported).
Even then, the police suspected that, given the same approach, the perpetrators were probably the same.
When asked by SN, we don't want to rule out the possibility that they are also behind the latest incident.
“The investigation is ongoing.” In the current case, the police are also hoping for witnesses who have made suspicious observations in the “Am Latterbach” area.
You are asked to contact the PI in Schongau on 08861/23460.
In Herzogsägmühle they don't want to make too much of the latest incidents.
“We are keeping an eye on this, but at the moment we do not see any large-scale series campaign behind it and do not expect any escalation,” said Andreas Kurz, managing director of Diakonie Herzogsägmühle, when asked.
By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Schongau newsletter.
