For the singer, a childhood dream came true right there.
The popular musician remembers.
Leipzig - On Friday evening (February 2, 2024), pop star Stefanie Hertel (44) was part of the MDR “Riverboats”.
The presenters Kim Fisher (54) and Matze Knoop (49) welcomed a sociable group of prominent guests.
Hertel promoted her book “Wonderful World of Herbs – My Family Recipes for Healing and Enjoying from Nature’s Garden” and told an entertaining story from her life.
On the toilet: Stefanie Hertel becomes a musical star
It almost sounds like a joke: Stefanie Hertel fulfilled her old childhood dream of being a successful musical actress in the women's toilet!
The Vogtland native revealed this surprising story a few days ago on Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk.
“Something really funny happened to me.
[...] I have dreamed before that one fine day I would be able to stand on the musical stage..." said the pop star.

Hertel then told a curious audience that her fateful encounter happened purely by chance at a wedding.
There she met a producer from Stage Entertainment in the toilet.
According to her story, the exceptional artist, who is often accused of saying that her marriage to Stefan Mross (48) was just PR, immediately seized the opportunity: she offered the producer her cooperation on the spot for a possible new edition of the ABBA musical “Mamma Mia”.

The funny anecdote also made presenter Kim Fisher smile.
She asked whether the conversation was “bowl to bowl”.
Hertel laughed and replied that she had met the lady while waiting in line.
“That’s the good thing about lines at the women’s restroom,” Fisher added.
