Superintendent Moti Levy, head of Lahav 433, informed the police commissioner earlier today (Monday) of his request to retire after long and many years of service in the police.

Nitzav Levy (58) is married and a father of three who lives in Nes Ziona.

Levy joined the police in 1988 as an investigator after serving 4 years in the IDF, and has been serving in the security agencies for about 40 years.

Among the prominent positions he held over the years in the police: Commander of the Tel Aviv heart station, Jerusalem district police officer, served as head of the national unit to combat economic crime (YALK) and as part of his role led the investigation files against the minister of welfare Haim Katz and senior officials of the aerospace industry, The submarine file and other investigations.

In May 2020, Chief Levi was prepared for R. Lahav 433, and since then he has held this position.

Since October 7, Levy has been leading the criminal police investigation against the Nohva terrorists and Gazan citizens arrested during the war.

He is also expected to announce his retirement.

The Commissioner of Police, RN Yaakov Shabtai, honored the officer's request, wished him success in the future and thanked him for his many years of contribution to the security of the State of Israel.

The two agreed that Superintendent Levy would retire in the coming months.

Soon the head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, Chief Yigal Ben Shalom, is also expected to announce his retirement from the police due to personal circumstances.
