Former jungle queen Djamila Rowe compares her participation in “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” last year to therapy.
Cologne - The viewers have decided: No Angels star Lucy Diakovska (47) is the new jungle queen.
The singer won the final on Sunday evening (February 4th).
Before things got down to business in the Australian jungle, RTL broadcast the program “I'm a Star – Get Me Out of Here!”
“The countdown to the final”.
In the show, Olivia Jones (54) and Angela Finger-Erben (44) got the fans in the mood for the later jungle coronation.
The invited guests included ex-jungle campers such as Verena Kerth (42) and Claudia Effenberg (58).
But last year's winner Djamila Rowe (56) also took a seat in the studio.
Djamila Rowe: “The jungle camp was therapy for me”
Olivia Jones asked her about her emotional jungle camp trip.
“Djamila, we have seen a completely different side of you.
And that ultimately brought you the crown.
Or how do you see that?” the drag queen wanted to know.
For Djamila Rowe, this question hit a nerve.
“The jungle camp was therapy for me,” revealed the 56-year-old.
“It was an RTL therapy and I spoke very, very much about my soul because I have suffered a lot in the last few years.” With these words, the reality TV actress had tears in her eyes.
She experienced “a lot of hate and resentment”.

Rowe then revealed that taking part in the jungle camp had always been a dream of hers.
“I fought for ten years to get in there, to show myself as I am, as you experienced me or have now met me,” she explained.
“So many people always doubted me, so many doors were always closed to me and I just wanted to show what I really am.” The 2024 jungle camp is now over.
But in the middle of the final there was a hidden swipe at Thomas Gottschalk.
