Wildlife cameras have shown several animals confused by the physical obstacle interrupting their migratory routes

Sky Island Alliance, a nonprofit group, has documented with videos how the border wall between the United States and Mexico limits the passage of animals between the two territories.

The barrier cuts animal migration routes and also affects bodies of water such as the San Pedro River, in Arizona.

With wildlife cameras, the organization has shown how foxes, bears and deer are confused by obstacles on the road.

The border barrier “is also harming public lands, indigenous lands and culture, local communities, human rights and civil liberties,” the wildlife organization notes.
