A teaser that promises twists and turns.
On February 1, Netflix released new images from season 3 of
The Bridgerton Chronicles
.
The relationship between Colin, third of the Bridgerton siblings, and Penelope, Violet Bridgerton's best friend, will be at the center of the plot.
Their story is one of the most complicated in the saga: the young woman is also the formidable Lady Whistledown, narrator of the series who reveals the secrets of London's high society.

As a reminder, the second season, offered in March 2022 on the video-on-demand platform, ended with the betrayal of Penelope, who attacked her friend Violet in a Lady Whistledown page.
Like the previous one, this season 3 is divided into two bursts of four episodes: fans will have to wait until May 16 for the first part of the season, and until June 13 for the second part.
Delay in production
The production of this new season had taken an unusual delay.
For good reason: Shonda Rhimes, the producer, was not satisfied with the liberties taken by the writers.
“Shonda thought it was very dark.
We were told that we had to rediscover the fun side (of the series), so we made changes, which involved delays,”
a source within Netflix production told the
Daily Mail
.
According to this same source, the producer would have balked at a narrative arc containing too much sex.
Information which is surprising given the first seasons of the series which contained rather daring scenes.
In addition to this clarification on the part of production, the technical team of the series was confronted with the writers' and actors' strike.
For many projects, these strikes caused editing and filming delays.
