Acting President of the Supreme Court, Judge Uzi Fogelman, today (Monday) appointed a team to investigate the leak of the High Court of Probability judgment. The team will include Michael Spitzer, former director of the courts, Hagi Avimor, retired head of the Shin Bet's Investigations Division, Eyal Dagan, retired head of the Shin Bet Investigations Division, and Judge Dr. Keren Azoulai, Registrar of the Supreme Court.

According to Fogelman, all Supreme Court judges support the establishment of the inspection team.
In addition, the team will begin its work immediately and will be asked to submit its findings, at least an interim report and preliminary recommendations, by May 1.
In accordance with the recommendations, a decision will be made on how to proceed with the issue.
A serious incident
Fogelman mentions in the letter of appointment that days before the publication of the historic ruling in which it was decided to reject the cancellation of the reason for plausibility, a report was published in which parts of the draft were "leaked".
"Publishing parts of draft judgments whose writing has not yet been completed is a serious incident," the appointment letter states.
"Everything possible must be done in order to clarify things as soon as possible in order to learn lessons for the future."

"After considering the matters in depth, due to the urgency and necessity of quickly locating the systemic circumstances that made it possible to release the published information and similar information of this type, and to formulate recommendations for action in the near term and with a forward-looking view - I hereby appoint an inspection team"
It is also written that the inspection team will map the working methods in the court, the possible loopholes for leaking information and the extent of the factors exposed to that information.

"The team will examine the question of whether it is possible to reduce the circle of those who are exposed to the information, increase the supervision of how it is kept and improve the documentation of its use."
