Netanyahu met with the United States National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan/L.A.M
The Speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana, began his political visit to Washington today (Monday) with a meeting at the White House with Jake Sullivan, the US National Security Advisor. Ohana spoke with Sullivan about the continuation of the fighting in the Gaza Strip as well as about Iran, which he said: "operates its emissaries against the forces of the United States, Israel and the free world in the Middle East."
"This is a critical time for the future of the entire region," said the Speaker of the Knesset and welcomed the American support: "We appreciate the support of the United States since the beginning of the war and especially the efforts being made to return the abductees - including American citizens.
Israel is committed to the return of all the abductees and to the defeat of Hamas," he said.
Ohana clarified: "No Israeli will agree to return to the reality that existed before the October Seventh - neither in the settlements of the Western Negev nor on the northern border.
This reality will no longer be possible.
What we have to do right now is inflict a complete defeat on Hamas that cannot be interpreted."

According to Ohana, "This is the same terrorism that is operated by the head of the snake from Iran, which operates its proxies against the forces of the USA, Israel and the free world in the Middle East and also endangers international freedom of navigation.
These are critical days that may determine the fate of the entire region.
The axis of evil 'Hamas-Hezbollah-Houthis' led by Iran must feel the strength of the determination of the free world in the form of a diplomatic and military iron wall."
Afterwards, the Speaker of the Knesset met with the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorx, together with the families of the kidnapped Gonen, Moore, Alziadna and Hand.
Knesset members Yuli Edelstein, Efrat Reiten and Idan Roll also participated in the meeting.
Tomorrow, Ohana and his delegation will meet with the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, on Capitol Hill.
