Split
Split is a popular destination for younger tourists who want to party a little for little money.
Stricter rules have applied in the Croatian city since 2023.
Have you planned a vacation to Croatia this year?
And maybe take this opportunity to stop by the popular coastal town of Split in Dalmatia?
Then you should know that strict rules of etiquette have been in effect there since the summer of 2023 - so what was okay two years ago could now sometimes lead to high fines.

Split is a city with a centuries-old history that attracts many culture enthusiasts.
Thanks to its vibrant nightlife, in recent years it has also become more and more interesting for young tourists who want to go on a party holiday for little money.
This trend has not gone unnoticed by those in charge in the city and the locals.
In order to get the resulting noise pollution and disorderly behavior in the streets - especially in the historic center - under control, the government designated this area and residential areas as “zones of decency” last year.
Anyone caught committing a variety of crimes there will have to pay a fine of between 150 and 300 euros.
What is forbidden in Split

, 150 euros will

The rules are enforced by city law enforcement officers accompanied by the police.
This is authorized to impose the fines.
Shortly after the decision, the first penalties were collected last summer.
Among other things, a young woman had to pay 150 euros because she stood outside a bar with an alcoholic drink for just half a minute.
She later reported the incident on
