Mike Gill, a former member of the administration of the former President of the United States, was the victim of
“car-jacking”
(the theft of a vehicle on public roads with violence or threats against the driver ) last Monday, report our colleagues from Sky News and Fox 5, which notably covers news from Washington DC. He succumbed to his injuries a week later, this Monday, February 5, after being seriously injured by a gunshot by the assailant .
Mike Gill, former regulator of the American Stock Exchange, was sitting in his car, parked in a parking lot in northwest Washington, DC, when the suspect, Artell Cunningham, a 28-year-old man, attempted to enter in the vehicle.

The thug quickly fled the scene, before attacking other people, including a 35-year-old man, Alberto Vasquez Jr, whom he shot dead while driving his vehicle.
He also attempted to steal a parked sedan, without success.
The assailant shot
Artell Cunningham was eventually identified minutes later, driving a stolen SUV.
In wanting to arrest him, the authorities confronted the assailant, armed with two pistols.
He was eventually shot dead by police.
Mike Gill was pronounced dead on Monday, February 5.
