Air travelers have to prepare for delays at Lufthansa on Wednesday.

Berlin - The Verdi union has called on Lufthansa ground staff to go on an all-day warning strike at several airports on Wednesday.
A Verdi spokesman said this early in the morning.
The Lufthansa locations in Frankfurt/Main, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin and Düsseldorf are affected.
“As all ground workers from maintenance to passenger and aircraft handling are called on a warning strike, major flight cancellations and delays are likely to occur,” Verdi wrote in a statement.
The background to the warning strike is the ongoing group-wide collective bargaining for the approximately 25,000 ground employees at Deutsche Lufthansa, Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Cargo, among others.
Verdi wants to increase the pressure on employers with the warning strike.
An offer from the employers in the second round of negotiations on February 23rd was rejected - it was about increases that were perceived as too low and the 36-month term.
