Mariano Cohn, Gastón Duprat and Emanuel Diez.
“In a humorous way, the fictional series revolves around Guillermo Coppola, the manager of one of the most famous soccer players in the world, who tries to reconcile his hectic private life with a full-time job that leads him to deal with the unusual consequences of the actions of his client, whose sporting zenith is quickly followed by a period of frank decline,” details the official synopsis of the series.
Last October, the start of filming had been announced, which is taking place in Naples, Italy, and Argentina.
The series will portray all the faces of Coppola during the '90s, when he was one of the most prominent characters in football and showbiz.
As seen in the preview, the football manager, who managed more than 200 players, did not escape the cameras.
In his golden age he rubbed shoulders with celebrities and even ventured into some media outlets.
What is seen in the preview
Images of “Coppola, the representative”, the new series that will be available on Star+.
In this first trailer, which lasts only 30 seconds, we see Juan Minujín completely transformed and unrecognizable.
At first, they highlight how extravagant "Diego's" former manager's life was during the '90s.
We see parties, television cameras and countless luxuries around them.
Immediately after, they begin to show the other side of the story.
"Mr. Coppola is accused," we suddenly hear, while archive images appear, which had to do with his arrest in a drug case.
This is just a preview of how the controversies in which this media personality was involved will be addressed.
It is expected that the story will adhere as closely as possible to reality, since Guillermo Coppola himself approved this production and even visited the set during the first days of filming.
Until now, what remains a mystery is whether Maradona will appear on camera, as another character in the series.
And, if so, who will be the actor in charge of putting on the skin of "the Ten."
Juan Minujín unrecognizable, in the shoes of Guillermo Coppola.
In any case, everything indicates that it will not be a central part of this story.
At no point, neither in the official synopsis, nor in the trailer, is Diego Armando Maradona mentioned
with his first and last name.
In the preview Minujín refers to the emblematic player of the Argentine national team repeatedly, but in all of them he does so simply as "Dieguito."
