Why are certain plants protected in France?
To ensure that certain plants remain part of the landscape, nature and French heritage, they are legally protected and listed on an official list to ensure their long-term preservation in France.
Indeed, some plants may be rare, vulnerable or in danger of extinction due to various factors such as habitat destruction or climate change and pollution.
Protection aims to prevent their disappearance and promote their regeneration.
