The most difficult maneuver in the Gaza Strip was carried out by the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) of Givat under the command of Col. Liron Batito, which in recent weeks includes complex combat in Khan Yunis.
According to the IDF, the fighters of the Givati Air Defense Forces killed more than 250 terrorists from the ground, and with the aerial targeting of unmanned aircraft, helicopter gunships and fighter jets another 250.
In the last day alone, Givati fighters killed 14 terrorists using sniping, anti-tank missiles and tanks.
At this stage, the Givati military base is in the western part of the Khan Yunis refugee camp, which is surrounded from all sides.
The forces are preparing to expand the attack on Hamas strongholds, and prevent the escape of terrorists who try to use defense shafts and tunnels in the area.
Testimonies from fighters in the field show that after intelligence is received that there is a suspicion of a hidden door, an opening floor, and valuable apartments, IDF forces are rushed to the scene. They enter it with sting units, the Engineer Corps' IDF, and soldiers who drill into the walls and use hammers 20 kg to locate the "gold shaft", which will lead to the hiding place of Yahya Sinwar, the other senior Hamas officials and the abductees. In the meantime, Hamas still manages to carry out squad attacks with anti-tank fire, laying mines or attempts to trap houses in order to harm IDF soldiers in Khan Yunis.
Amn and the Shin Bet point to UNRA and the Red Cross "shelters" as hiding places for terrorists, so the IDF conducts inspections and arrests terrorists.
Since the beginning of the fighting, about 500 terrorists have been transferred from the combat zone of the Givatiya TDF for interrogation in Israel. Some of these terrorists have helped locate underground structures, hiding places, IDF warehouses, extended stay sites, incarceration of abductees and more.
At one of the sites, the Israel Defense Forces Givati forces uncovered a Hamas metal recycling plant, with which they built rockets and mortar bombs. According to evidence from the field, Hamas managed to smuggle in German-made machines for the wartime production of a long-range firing array, including warehouses of chemical materials for the production of explosive charges.

So far, more than 120,000 Palestinian citizens have left Khan Yunis towards Rafah and the "shelters".
