Left behind again: the new waste disposal company is overwhelmed with collecting the yellow bags.

Even five weeks after switching to a new waste disposal company, the collection of the yellow bags is still not working.
“Unfortunately, the collection is not going well,” admits the district office.
Erding - Its spokeswoman Claudia Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer states after numerous complaints that the collection of yellow bags is organized by the private sector and must be advertised every three years.
The dual systems (here: eko-punkt) awarded the contract for the years 2024 to 2026 to the company Knettenbrech + Gurdulic.
“With the change of company, the collection cycle was also increased to every 14 days and the separate can collection was dissolved and assigned to the yellow bag,” the spokeswoman continued.
She admits that “in many areas the waste disposal company offered re-emptying appointments, but these did not take place completely everywhere”.
According to Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer, the dual system is responsible for complaints from waste disposal companies.
The Erding district is still in constant contact with the waste disposal company and the dual system “in order to get the disposal on an orderly track as quickly as possible”.
The district office is therefore asking citizens to let them know which streets are not being used - to abfall@lra-ed.de or by calling (0 81 22) 58 15 50, "so that the grievances can be remedied as quickly as possible," emphasizes the spokeswoman.
