The land of “hygge” has found the cure for the short, cold nights of winter.
Started on February 2, the sixth edition of the Copenhagen Light Festival lights up the streets of Denmark's capital until February 24.
Sculptures,
video mapping
... Around fifty works designed by Danish and international artists are scattered in the streets, squares and along the canals of Copenhagen.
Accessible free of charge, the installations light up every day between 5 and 10 p.m.
To marvel at the works, nothing better than walking or cycling – Copenhagen being the most cycle-friendly city in Europe.
The more sporty will join the night race which will be held on Sunday February 18.
For the first time since the creation of the festival in 2018, guided tours of one and a half hours in English are offered to visitors (€25).
The ideal opportunity to discover, in addition to the most touristy places (Nyhavn quays, Havnegade promenade...), lesser known areas such as the old Holmen shipyards or the Vestre cemetery (Vestre Kirkegård).

Beyond the artistic installations, several concerts listed on the official website will punctuate the three weeks of the festival.
In the era of energy sobriety, the organizers promise that one day of the festival corresponds to the consumption of three Tesla electric cars, in particular thanks to the exclusive use of LEDs.
Who says better ?
