Dorfen - The traffic light government ignores the demands of farmers, who are frustrated and form a silent protest on the A94 bridge near Lengdorf.

Dorfen - The traffic light government was not impressed by the farmers' protests to the desired extent.

“The cuts in the agricultural sector are being pushed through ice-coldly,” writes Michael Hamburger, LSV South-East organizing team, in a press release.

After the decision in the Bundestag last Friday, farmers expressed their displeasure about it.

In the districts of Erding and Ebersberg, farmers gathered at the A94 bridges for a silent protest.

“We farmers saw Friday’s vote in the Bundestag on agricultural diesel as a slap in the face.

With the exception of a few dissenters from the FDP, the traffic light government voted unanimously against maintaining the partial tax refund on agricultural diesel for farmers and foresters.

Our warnings were completely ignored,” Hamburger said angrily in the letter.

Meanwhile, our professional colleagues in France have achieved their goal.

The traffic light government's approach leads to a Europe-wide competitive inequality to the detriment of local farmers.

That's why more and more professional colleagues are giving up their farms; the structural change in agriculture is already immense.

Why is our federal government endangering the security of supply of regional food?

The actions of the SPD, Greens and FDP to the detriment of local agriculture are massively endangering jobs in rural areas and in all medium-sized businesses and show the low appreciation for the fallow industry, Hamburger further complains.

Investments in animal husbandry are already very cautious due to political uncertainty.

Federal Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir would like to implement the ban on tethering within five years.

A food that is not produced locally according to German standards must be produced somewhere else in the world.

And that will be transported to different standards and under immense CO2 pollution.

Many passing trucks showed their support for the farmers by honking loudly during their silent protest on the highway bridges.
