Residential building instead of a restaurant: The application for a free plot of land near the Tegernsee Villas in Abwinkl has now caused outrage in the Wiessee building committee.
Bad Wiessee
– For the Wiessee local council, the so-called Tegernsee Villas in Abwinkl are an unpleasant chapter.
It has become clear several times in the past that the luxury residential complex completed in 2018 - built by the Planquadrat company - was imagined to be completely different.
The people of Wiessee are more than dissatisfied with the result.
Now the unpleasant chapter had to be opened again in the building committee.
The reason was a building request that affected a property belonging to the Tegernsee Villas.
Inquiry from two private individuals: Residential building near Tegernsee Villas possible?
Two private individuals wanted to know whether it would be possible to build a single-family home for their own use on the remaining vacant land on Ringbergstrasse.
However, this would require an exemption from the stipulation of the development plan, which envisages a restaurant at this location - but under no circumstances a residential project.
However, the restaurant that was supposed to enrich the Tegernsee Villas project was never built.
Already communicated in advance: application almost hopeless
“They expressly wanted to have a restaurant here,” said building authority manager Anton Bammer before the vote.
Bammer added that the building administration had already clearly communicated to the applicants in advance of the meeting that a residential building was not permitted here and that a corresponding application was almost hopeless.
Nevertheless, a corresponding preliminary ruling application was now on the table.
According to Bammer, the applicants are not the owners of the area, but merely prospective buyers.
Local councilors don't want to move away from restaurants under any circumstances
The building committee members left no doubt that building a residential building here was out of the question.
“It is a real imposition to even submit this application,” angry Bernd Kuntze-Fechner (SPD).
From the beginning, nothing other than a restaurant with a beer garden was planned here.
This was also confirmed by Kurt Sareiter (CSU), who regretted that the restaurant never came to fruition.
“A restaurant there wouldn't have been bad.” Sareiter also used the opportunity to remind people that his group had voted against the Tegernsee Villas project at the time.
The building committee unanimously rejected the application.
In view of the fact that the administration had already explained to the applicants at a meeting in the town hall that such an application would not be successful, Mayor Robert Kühn said: “You can believe us.”
