A young animal from the strongest dog breed in the world is currently living in the Munich animal shelter: the Kangal male Floki is looking for a new family - but his owner should have him well under control.
Munich - “He is very cuddly and the absolute favorite of all dog walkers and carers”: This is how the Munich animal shelter introduces the male Kangal Floki.
He came to the animal shelter through a seizure.
Only born in June 2023, the young dog has not yet reached his full height.
But he already weighs 55 kilograms and has a shoulder height of 75 centimeters.

Due to his size and protective instinct, the animal shelter is looking for new owners with “consistent leadership” for him.
Loki stands out with his “imposing appearance”, but at the same time he has a “loving nature”.
Therefore, families “with stable children” could also take over the uncastrated male dog – “provided that clear leadership is maintained”.

Floki is friendly towards his peers.
However, the Munich animal shelter describes him as needing enough space and a garden.
The placement should therefore take place in a rural area.
The young Kangal can initially react shyly and skeptically to new surroundings.
“He is very sensitive, which makes it even more important to give him time to get used to new environmental stimuli,” said the animal shelter.

At the same time, Floki behaves in a “trusting and people-oriented manner,” which is reflected, among other things, in his cuddly nature.
That's why he's become a favorite among the animal shelter's permanent and volunteer employees.
Anyone who would like to take him on should still have experience with the breed in order to ensure optimal care.
Floki continues to grow and only reaches full maturity at the age of four.
