adds a new string to his bow with a new society magazine.
Entitled “Our big decisions”, this new show – broadcast live on Wednesday at 10:45 p.m. on France 2 – will receive men and women who are facing a dilemma in their lives.
Surrounded by experts, the former “Quotidien” columnist will guide them to facilitate their choice.

,” he explains.

They will be helped by experts present on set and by viewers who will vote by SMS to say what they would do in their place.
Through a particular case that we will advise, we will also provide the general public with more global societal insight.

It’s an idea from Thierry Ardisson that he imagined more than 15 years ago!
He came to see Régis Lamanna-Rodat and me to propose the concept.
Thierry is a creative person and it's great to work with him because he brings us lots of ideas that allow us to move forward.
But he doesn't 'crush' us and remains modest despite his status as a TV legend.
If someone had told me that Thierry Ardisson would one day ask me to host the show he invented, I wouldn't have believed it!

Asked about the audiences, Hugo Clément admits their importance but above all does not want them to be a factor of choice on this or that subject.
“
Audiences are important because we make the shows so that people watch them.
To say that we don't care about audiences is a problem because the public service is financed by the French and we have to address everyone
,” he explains.
“I have never supported the RN but I debate with them”

Invited in April 2023 to a debate with Jordan Bardella, the president of the National Rally, Hugo Clément had suffered numerous criticisms after his comments on immigration.
But the journalist denies any propaganda: “
In the debate with Jordan Bardella, I explained that people who live in uninhabitable countries would cause mass immigration and that the debate on immigration could not be held without taking take into account the ecological factor.
Some saw this as support for the RN, which is aberrant!
In fact, these people did not watch the debate
,” he assures.
“
We need to debate with everyone and stop talking about the environment in a partisan way.
More than 10 million people voted for Marine Le Pen in the second round.
It's a reality.
So, either we cover our eyes and ears, or we talk with everyone.

Finally, Hugo Clément returns to the controversy which surrounded the remarks of Pascal Praud in his
JDD
editorial in which he affirmed that France had no vocation to save the climate: “
Pascal Praud is not wrong when he says that “we will not save the climate
,” he says.
“
It’s true that France alone will not save the climate.
But when he says that the climate has seen others, he is wrong because scientists explain that the severity of climate change is unprecedented and that this change will have dramatic impacts.
