The strong beer festival is one of the social highlights in Wolfratshausen.
On March 1st it's that time again - the city's cultural manager Andreas Kutter will reveal when and where tickets are available.
Wolfratshausen – Is everything over on Ash Wednesday?
Of course not: On February 14th, at the beginning of the 40-day Lent period, advance sales for the strong beer festival in the Wolfratshauser Loisachhalle, which takes place on Friday, March 1st, start.
Fans of tasty barley juice and sophisticated derblecken know: the ticket contingent is usually exhausted quickly.
7.8 percent alcohol content, 100 percent atmosphere: Strong beer festival is fast approaching
The strong beer festival has been one of the social highlights in Loisachstadt for many years.
The Wolfratshausen town band will give festival visitors a musical welcome, and around 7 p.m. Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner will tap the first wooden barrel together with representatives of the Hofbräuhaus Traunstein.
“Maximilian” was tasted and found to be very good
Just a few days ago, the dark bock beer “Maximilian” was tasted in the brewhouse of the traditional brewery, reports marketing manager Katharina Gaßner when asked by our newspaper.
Master brewer Matthias Sailer vouches for the high quality of the thirst-quenching product.
According to Gaßner, the strong beer was brewed in October last year with 19.2 degrees Plato original gravity and 7.8 percent alcohol content and matured to perfection in the cool lager cellar.
“Local ingredients such as original Hallertau hops, our own yeast and, above all, a special Bavarian malt, which has been sourced from the same malthouse for generations and produces the special body of the dark Bock, together with the centuries-old art of brewing, determine the taste, color, foam and, above all, the "High 'drinkability'", that is, excellent drinkability, enthuses master brewer Sailer full-bodiedly.
The liquid bread and the sound of the city band are one thing - but the linchpin of the strong beer festival is the licking of the local political celebrities.
The Loisachtaler Bauernbühne is taking on this task again this year.
Who the authors and actors are targeting remains a closely guarded secret until the curtain rises on the Loisachhallen stage on March 1st at around 8:15 p.m.
The city of Wolfratshausen has hired the Wiesn band “Nachtstark” for the strong beer festival for the first time
After the Singspiel on the Bauernbühne there is no reason to go home: The band “Nachtstark” was hired for the Wolfratshauser Strong Beer Festival for the first time.
The five-member formation is well known to visitors to the Paulaner festival tent at the Munich Oktoberfest.
“Nachtstark” is the synonym for a well-rounded mix of Bavarian rock, international and pop party music.

“The cult band from the Munich Oktoberfest,” says the city’s cultural manager Andreas Kutter, consists of Mathias Kraft, Korby Oberloher, Buro Heinroth, Florian Stauber and Benedikt “Ben” Burger.
This may now ring a bell for one or another Wolfratshauser: Burger is the marketing manager at Schraubautomaten Weber GmbH, which is based in the rafting town.
According to cultural manager Kutter, advance sales start on February 14th.
An entry ticket costs 14 euros, reduced price nine euros.
They are only available at the city tourist information office at Untermarkt 10. (cce)
