The relations between the settlers and Fox have been shaky for a long time.
In December 2023, individual ads were found in several places in Judea and Samaria, posted by an anonymous group called "Israeli Freedom Fighters", stating that Fox was "prosecuted".
In Judea and Samaria, the voices for the removal of Fox from his position are increasing, both following the Arab kidnapping exercise by settlers and as a result of the accumulated anger among the settlers in the last two years in light of their claims of a poor sense of security on the one hand and a strong and rigid hand towards them on the part of Fox on the other hand.
The struggle between the settlers and Fox was also reflected in the personal conflict between him and the right-wing activist Elisha Yared, who was arrested and an administrative order was issued against him, removing him from the Jewish Community.
