Caren Miosga's new talk show starts on Sunday, but it is already known that it will not continue after the third edition.
Berlin – Caren Miosga (54) was the face of “Tagesthemen” for around 16 years.
But when it was announced a year ago that her ARD colleague Anne Will (57) would moderate her last political talk at the end of 2023, a replacement was needed - and the first found him again in Caren Miosga.
The 54-year-old was named Will's successor in 2007 when she gave up her job as a "Tagesthemen" news anchor for her show "Anne Will".
But before the new political talk can gain momentum from January, the station has already planned a break.
ARD shows alternative program to Caren Miosga
The first broadcast starts on Sunday, January 21st at 9:45 p.m.
But after just three issues, Miosga is allowed to go on vacation.
On February 11th and 18th, instead of the talk show, the TV audience can expect a new episode of the sixth season “Brokenwood – Murder in New Zealand”.
The crime series takes up the presenter's broadcast slot twice.
Last year, ARD showed two episodes of the fifth season in February.
What the program will look like a week later, on February 25th, is still unknown - as is when the finale of the sixth season of the crime series will be shown.
One thing is certain: ARD has planned a total of 30 programs with Caren Miosga this year.
The viewers remain excited because there will also be a major innovation that Caren Miosga decided after Anne Will left: the AfD will also be a guest on the show in the future.
