Highlights: After resignation: guard season in Herrsching is now in the clear. Green councilor Anke Rasmussen will take over the chairmanship on an interim basis. All members of the former board of directors will continue to be available for active service. The topic will certainly be discussed again at the next general meeting, which will probably be convened in March, in any case before the start of the guard season. The former technical director Leon Gambihler had already announced this when he resigned, also to make it clear that the board's decision had nothing to do with any problems within the local group.

The Herrsching local water rescue group has a management again.

Even if only temporarily, the 2024 guard season in Herrsching is now in the clear.

Herrsching

- After the resignation of the board of directors a week ago, calm should now return to the ranks of those active in the Herrsching water rescue local group.

As reported, Fiona Kemp, Felix Schärfl and the entire board team had made their positions available due to internal and external disagreements within the organization.

Since then, the telephone wires have been running hot in order to at least be able to organize the 2024 guard season.

Last Friday, the activists and representatives of the district water rescue service met for a non-public activist meeting.

Mayor Christian Schiller also took part.

Green councilor Anke Rasmussen, who is also a member of the Herrsching water rescue service, made herself available to take over the chairmanship on an interim basis.

“For the remaining term, until the regular elections in spring 2025,” as she says.

Together with Rudi Stadler as her deputy, Stefan Schiller as technical director, Tobias Schneider as his deputy, Christine Schneider as cashier and Ingo Wiegand as youth officer, nothing should stand in the way of the 20024 season.

There were around 15 active people who took part in the active meeting, says Anke Rasmussen when asked by Starnberger Merkur.

Also present were Kreiswasserwacht chairman Markus Schmolz, the technical director of the Kreiswasserwacht Andreas Fischer, press spokesman Oliver Jauch and Felix Schärfl from the former board.

Anke Rasmussen said he once again explained the reasons for his resignation in detail.

Together with him, she will now prepare the next general meeting - probably in March.

The good news, according to Anke Rasmussen, is that all members of the former board of directors will continue to be available for active service.

“We don’t like to give up on them either.

They are all well trained and are boat captains and water rescuers.” Without them, it would be difficult to provide security services in Herrsching in the coming season.

The former technical director Leon Gambihler had already announced this when he resigned, also to make it clear that the board's decision had nothing to do with any problems within the local group.

The topic will certainly be discussed again at the next general meeting, which will probably be convened in March, in any case before the start of the guard season.
