Future uncertain: The only thing that is clear is that the Sport-Scheck is leaving its current location.

The days of Sport-Scheck on Neuhauser Straße are numbered.
But no one says when the popular store will close.
Not far away, the competition is taking a stand: JD Sports is opening a flagship store.
It has been clear since Friday: Sport Scheck will have no future at its current location.
The insolvent sporting goods retailer, which is part of the Signa empire, has to move out of the Joseph-Pschorr-Haus on Neuhauser Strasse.
A shock for customers.
Anyone who asks when the lights will go out won't get an answer.
Even if you request it again, the company will leave a date open for the move out.
Meanwhile, the competition is taking a stand opposite: As it was announced on Tuesday, JD Sports is moving into the H&M house.
The real estate newspaper first reported on this.
The new flagship store is scheduled to open at Kaufingerstraße 18 in autumn 2024.
The space became available after the fashion brand H&M moved into a new flagship store a few blocks away (we reported).
The British sporting goods retailer has big plans for the Isar: the branch will be the chain's second largest location after London-Oxford.
On three floors and 2,700 square meters, sports enthusiasts will find everything their heart desires.
Previously there were JD branches in PEP and OEZ.
Now the city center is to be taken by storm.
Plans that you won't like to hear from the ailing competitor Sport Scheck.
Employees don't know what's next either
The Signa subsidiary went bankrupt at the end of November.
According to the insolvency administrator, there are already several interested parties.
But it is still unclear where the journey will take us.
As reported, part of the renovation concept is to save costs.
For example, renting.
No agreement could be reached with the previous landlord on Neuhauser Straße, Bayerische Hausbau.
Hausbau also left it open when the contract would expire.
According to Sport Scheck, there is not even a time horizon for a specific move-out date.
Store employees confirm this behind closed doors: “We weren’t told anything more.” Nah
