Argentine President Javier Millay lands in Israel/Reuters
The promise made today (Tuesday) by Argentine President Javier Millay to President Yitzhak (Boji) Herzog to recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization is no longer a promise, it is an action plan and a signpost.
While many countries in the world in general, and South America in particular, refuse to condemn the terrible massacre of October 7th, Millay goes with his truth - and his truth refreshes the landscape.
Millay's visit had started only a few hours before, and in the short time he was on Israeli soil he had already managed, on the steps of the plane in Israel, to announce the transfer of the Argentine embassy from Herzliya Pituach to Jerusalem, as he had promised in his election campaign, and to visit the Western Wall, where he wept with excitement While 11 abductees with Argentine citizenship are being held by Hamas in Gaza, Miley came to express support in the warmest way imaginable.
Not just a promise - an action plan and a road sign.

The president of Argentina is "many things" before he is a "politician".
Perhaps he is the most non-political of the world leaders today, and it is likely that this is the reason that brought millions of Argentines to the streets at the end of November 2023 to celebrate his victory in the elections.
Argentina wanted a change.
The celebration was of a similar magnitude to the reception given to Leo Messi when he returned from the World Cup in Qatar with the World Cup exactly a year ago.
In the broadest sense, it can be said that the 53-year-old libertarian economist who seized power and currently lives in the Pink House (Presidential Palace) in Buenos Aires, is first and foremost a rock star, no less.
There is something captivating and magnetic about his personality, which makes it impossible to remain indifferent to him.
Love him or hate him, but not indifferent to him.
He always evokes emotion, and maybe that's part of his charm.

Many compare him and his "wild" style to former US President (and perhaps the next) Donald Trump, but the comparison is misplaced. Make no mistake: Javier Herrardo Millay is first and foremost an ideologue. He's really not a gimmick. The gimmicks - the wild hair, the blunt style, The performances with the electric saw - they are not the essence but only a tool to attract attention. And it works.
First of all a rock star.

Argentina has been split in half since the election.
He did not win by a large margin, but in less than two months he managed to make great revolutions.
Not evolution but revolution.
One of the initial presidential orders he signed was the cancellation (!) of most government ministries.
Yes Yes.
He abolished the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Science, the Ministry of Tourism and more.
In their place, he built nine "super ministries" that centralize all the responsibilities of his government.
"When there is no money - we cut back", he declared, and immediately provoked as expected waves of sympathy and hatred.
To say that he is "definitely pro-Israeli" is an understatement.

The bonus for Israel?
To say that Miley is "definitely pro-Israeli" is an understatement.
He adores Israel, wants/is considering converting, will appoint "his rabbi" and his confidant, Rabbi Shimon Axel Ahnesh, as the next Argentine ambassador to Israel, will move the embassy to Jerusalem, and more.
Such a pro-Israeli.
His visit to Israel clearly illustrates how much he intends to follow through on all his promises.
Because for him it is far beyond politics.
He really supports Israel.
Not out of interests, but wholeheartedly.
