A whole day in honor of Loriot: This was also part of the program at the eleventh PiPaPo Festival.
For this occasion, the Gartenberger Bunkerblasmusik played in the Hinterhalt cabaret in Gelting.

Assunta Tammelleo is satisfied with the PiPaPo festival.
The event was very popular.
But the ambush challenges remain.

– To the first, to the second, to the third – and over!
The “auction of beautiful things” in ambush at the end of November (we reported) was one of the last events at the eleventh PiPaPo Festival of the Isar-Loisach Cultural Association (KIL).
In an interview with our newspaper, the chairwoman of the KIL and ambush host, Assunta Tammelleo, was very satisfied with how the festival went.
PiPaPo Festival: Over 20 events
Over 20 events took place this year under the motto “Go swimming”.
In total, Tammelleo and her colleagues counted between 800 and 1,000 visitors.
“On average 40 per event,” she says.
"We are very satisfied.
From our point of view it was a complete success.” However, it is also clear: “Without the club’s active members and without sponsors it would not have turned out the way it did.”

According to Tammelleo, the reading by Konstantin Wecker and the cabaret with Max Uthoff under the title “Alles im Wunderland” were the best attended.
“We even had to work with waiting lists,” she reports.
But that was to be expected.
Well-known names for the small cultural stage in the rather unknown Gelting.
Tammelleo admits: “Actually, the ambush is far too small for these two artists.
And they don’t come because of the fee, but they come out of solidarity.”
A whole day in honor of Loriot
The PiPaPo Festival had many more “high-profile” events to offer again this year.
A highlight, for example, was the celebrations on the occasion of Loriot's 100th birthday, which lasted a whole day.
On November 12th, the Gartenberger Bunkerblasmusik first performed, then there was a staged reading by the Loisachtaler Bauernbühne, then “Loriot's big animated film revue” in the Wolfratshauser cinema, and the day ended with a concert by Josef Brustmann, Benjamin Schäfer and Sebastian Horn under the motto “ “Home is simply different.”
“We are alone in the district with a celebration like this,” says the ambush landlady, proud of this unique selling point.
And there was even something for the children.
In “Dr.
According to Döblinger's Punch and Judy show, the auditorium of the Karl Lederer Elementary School Tammelleo was "full of shit."
Newcomer Teresa Reichl, who was awarded the Bavarian Cabaret Prize last year, was also very well received by the audience.
And the audience itself?
"That's great!
A very appreciative audience.”
Tammelleo: “You couldn’t expect this success”
Overall, as the ambush landlady summarized it in an interview with our newspaper, “we have managed to establish ourselves as a cultural association over the years.
The effort is worth it.”
And she also knows: “You couldn’t have expected this success.
This is unpredictable after two years of Corona.
You have no idea who is coming.”

Nevertheless, this does not affect the creativity of the KIL members: “We still want to think up special events,” says the KIL chairwoman.
She knows: “We live because we have many volunteers and sponsors.” The biggest sponsor, as Tammelleo reports, is the owner of the cultural stage itself. Wolf Steinberger, Tammelleo's former partner, lives in Munich and, like the 62-year-old, does without reported since acquiring the ambush on rental payments.
Water damage still causes problems
However, the ambush is still struggling with water damage (we reported).
“This is very annoying.
This has been a recurring problem since July 2020,” says Tammelleo.
“It hangs over the stage like a sword of Damocles.” Here too, Steinberger repeatedly stepped in financially as a “cultural patron, probably unknown to most people,” as the ambush landlady describes him.
Tammelleo is more than grateful for this, because she knows: “Offers that bring people together are needed here in the northern district.”
