The Royal Standard floats at Buckingham Palace, a sign that Charles III is back in the capital, but the kingdom has just entered a period of uncertainty.
During his recent operation to treat a trivial prostate problem, the king's doctors noticed an anomaly which turned out, after examination, to be "a form of cancer".
This could explain the reason for his stay at the London Clinic which had been extended by two nights.

Buckingham Palace clarified this Monday evening that it was not prostate cancer.
And so it was in London that the king immediately began treating this cancer.
We do not yet know the nature of the protocol he is receiving, chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
The monarch still resides at home, in his palace of Clarence House, a stone's throw from Buckingham, currently under construction.
