The two convictions in the proceedings arising from the collapse of two former Iacp (Ater) buildings in Amatrice due to the earthquake of 24 August 2016 which caused the death of 19 people were confirmed in the Supreme Court.
The supreme judges reiterated the 9-year prison sentences for Ottaviano Boni, at the time technical director of the construction company Sogeap, and 5 years for Maurizio Scacchi, surveyor of the Lazio Region-Civil Engineering.
