Unterallgäu – The Unterallgäu district is expected to spend 3.22 million euros on construction work on the district roads this year.

The district is paying 1.4 million euros from its own resources.

The rest is covered by funding or from participating communities.

Civil engineering department head Walter Pleiner presented at a joint meeting of the district and building committees where the Lower Allgäu district road network will be brought into shape this year.

Committee members unanimously approved the plans.

• After the winter break, the expansion of the MN 4 district road between Erisried and Dirlewang will begin.

The road will be renewed and widened over a length of 1.8 kilometers.

As part of this, the bridge over the Westernach will also be rebuilt and a 900 meter long walking and cycling path will be created.

The total costs for this are around three million euros.

• The expansion of the MN 26 district road in Niederrieden will continue this year and is expected to be completed in the fall.

The town thoroughfare will be expanded to 900 meters and the bridge over the Roth will be rebuilt.

The total costs for this are estimated at 2.55 million euros.

• The district road MN 4 leads over two bridges in Dirlewang – over the Mindel and the Mindelmühlbach.

These will be rebuilt this year for 1.35 million euros.

• The district road MN 32 will be expanded this year between Günz and the roundabout in the direction of Frickenhausen for 1.35 million euros over a length of one kilometer.

• The superstructure of the MN 23 district road will be reinforced this year between Tussenhausen and Markt Wald.

The work extends over one kilometer and costs 870,000 euros.

• As part of the repair of state road 2025 in Tussenhausen, the district is also expanding the junctions of the district roads MN 23 and MN 6.

The work is planned for this year and is estimated at 150,000 euros.
