The daycare plans in Aich and Puch remain a challenge.

A new facility will open in Fürstenfeldbruck in April - children from the waiting list will move up.

Fürstenfeldbruck

– Registration for daycare and kindergarten places begins in February.

Girls and boys from the waiting list are still being accommodated this year.

The Bambini daycare center on Unfaltstrasse will open in April.

The kindergarten plans in Aich and Puch remain a construction site.

The shock was great for many parents who came away empty-handed when the places were allocated last spring.

Around 200 children were initially not accommodated in crèches and kindergartens.

The number fell over the course of the year, but the list is far from empty.

Fürstenfeldbruck kindergarten: Bambini daycare starts in April

Even now the waiting list is still being reduced.

The Bambini daycare center on Unfaltstrasse is scheduled to open in April.

The “Bambini Family Kitas GmbH” from Schondorf will operate three crèches and one kindergarten group there as an independent provider, reports Michael Maurer, the responsible office manager at the town hall.

Until the end of the school year, you start with two groups and the kindergarten group in the crèche.

The last twelve girls and boys will come to the crèche from September.

“So we gain a net 36 crèche and 25 kindergarten places,” explains Maurer.

Kindergarten Fürstenfeldbruck: Aich and Puch continue to be difficult

This means the city is taking a big step towards meeting demand.

In purely mathematical terms, one kindergarten group would still be missing.

Therefore, the plan was made to renovate the Aich kindergarten and set up another kindergarten for the Puch children in the former caretaker's house at the Green Center.

But the plans stall.

“The price for the house is incredibly high,” reports Mayor Christian Götz when asked by Tagblatt.

And then it still needs to be renovated.

Therefore, the administration and city councils are considering several directions.

“There are different options,” says Götz.

You have to clarify what the most sensible solution is.

And one that is also affordable given the tight budget.

One thing is clear: a kindergarten with two groups is cheaper than two buildings with one group each.

We are in the discovery phase, says Götz.

The decision should be made in coordination with the citizens of Aich and Pucher.

“We are considering a format for citizen participation.” Until the decision has been made, the Aich kindergarten will not be renovated either.

According to the current demographic study, if there is clarity and the building is built, the need will be met - at least structurally, says Maurer.

But a new demographic study is currently being prepared and will be available in the fall.

He can then adapt the requirements plan and readjust it if necessary.

It could be that more daycare places are desired than expected.

Then you have to act again.

Kindergarten: Personnel situation in Fürstenfeldbruck remains a challenge

A problem with the waiting list is not just a lack of rooms, but rather staffing concerns.

Due to a lack of employees, places and sometimes even groups had to remain vacant.

Here the situation relaxes somewhat.

Things are looking good for the city, reports Maurer.

“And independent providers can also fill places and open groups again.” He therefore expects that more places can be offered for the new childcare year.

But that is not an all-clear: “The shortage of personnel remains a major challenge.”

After-school care in Fürstenfeldbruck without a waiting list

The situation is different for the students.

Maurer believes that the mix of all-day school, after-school care, lunchtime care and extended lunchtime care means that no child should remain on the waiting list.

In order to cover the entitlement to lunchtime care, which will apply from 2026, an extension will be built at the primary school on Philipp-Weiß-Straße.

And in the middle elementary school, a classroom is being converted for lunchtime care.

But that doesn't mean one thing, emphasizes Maurer: Not every child who wants a daycare place gets one.

But at least a place where it can be looked after after school.
