Be careful, scam!
Since the end of January, several motorists from Massy, but also from Verrières-le-Buisson, have discovered a small sticker on their windshield inviting them to pay their parking fine using a QR Code.
But make no mistake: despite the apparent credibility of the document in the colors of the Republic, it is indeed a fraud intended to recover your bank details.
At first glance, this badge bearing the logo of the French Republic and that of the National Agency for the Automated Processing of Offenses (Antai) looks like an authentic document.
But on closer inspection, two gross mistakes immediately suggest a scam.
“There is a fine
instead
of
a fine
,” Darla points out on a Facebook page dedicated to the town of Massy.

Contacted, the town hall ensures that it takes the matter seriously.
“The municipal police have strengthened their controls,” specifies the mayor’s office, while emphasizing “that no victims have come forward.”
The national police reminds “that no payment of fines is made with a QR Code”.
“If an offense is noted, whether by the municipal police, the gendarmerie or the national police, the holder of the registration certificate receives the ticket directly at his home, insists the divisional commissioner Philippe Ricci, in charge of the agglomeration Massy-Palaiseau.
If there is a QR Code to pay, it's 100% a scam.
