Just last year, a 13-year-old girl was brutally tortured by a gang in the district town.

The most recent incident occurred on January 21, 2024, when a 13-year-old was brutally attacked by this gang at the train station.

The perpetrators beat him, kicked him in the face and stole valuables worth more than €1,000, including a jacket, Nike trainers and an iPhone.

This pattern of violence repeats itself almost weekly, with the gang attacking, threatening and beating young victims.

Many of those affected are afraid to file a complaint.

But the 13-year-old boy showed courage and went to the police, which led to the arrest of two perpetrators.

They are now in custody on strong suspicion of aggravated robbery.

The accused are 16 and 18 years old.

Senior public prosecutor Peter Müller-Rakow told BILD

the group is now the focus of the public prosecutor's office and the police and that several investigations are underway against its members.
