The market council group of “Alliance 90/The Greens” in Peißenberg is calling for the establishment of a working group “for closer technical support and development of biodiversity on the Neue Bergehalde”.
Peißenberg - This emerges from a motion formulated by Annette Daiber, which the parliamentary group submitted to the committee at the most recent meeting of the local council.
The justification for the application explains that the nature conservation concerns on the Neue Bergehalde are so challenging due to the growing pressure for leisure activities and the demands of climate change that management and care aimed at biodiversity should be accompanied by a special working group.
The last mapping on the waste dump in Peißenberg was 20 years ago
The Greens also point out that the last mapping of the plant species found in the mine dump was almost 20 years ago.
“Such data collection is an important basis for further decisions and would prevent temporary parking spaces being accepted at an orchid location,” says the application.
The management of the stream mussel sites, which would particularly suffer from the increasingly warmer and drier summers, could also be assessed in this way.
Greens in Peißenberg make concrete suggestions
The Greens are already formulating concrete proposals regarding the staffing of the working group.
“Conceivable” would be Fritz Gindhart (district river mussel representative), Georg Karl (hunter and former market council representative for the mining dump), Christine Moser (LBV, bird protection expert) and Annette Daiber (green representative for the market council).
