Bad Heilbrunn is upgrading when it comes to e-mobility.

Two charging stations were set up at the herb park and the cemetery.

In addition, “EOberland” now offers an e-car sharing service in the community.

Bad Heilbrunn – According to town hall manager Hans Keller, the construction of the charging stations will be funded by the federal government with 36,000 euros.

The community has to raise 8,000 euros.

“I believe that we chose the right location right next to the specialist clinic,” said Mayor Thomas Gründl at a press event.

He announced that the parking spaces in front of the charging stations would be controlled in the future and would be reserved for electric cars.

Behind “EOberland” are the Ortner car dealership and 17er-Oberlandenergie, a regional association of municipal and municipal utilities in the districts of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Weilheim-Schongau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

More and more electric vehicles are available to rent

The rental of electric vehicles is becoming more and more widespread in the Oberland: “This is the 27th car we have in the Oberland,” explains Alois Moser from the Ortner car dealership.

“We are looking to bring together a comprehensive car sharing network.” There should be at least one car at a charging station in every community.

According to Moser, the service is used “very intensively”, especially in Benediktbeuern: “Many people there no longer have a car after the hail storm.” EOberland’s car was also “pretty broken” after the storm: “But we have replaced it immediately.”

Some people are still afraid of contact

With gasoline becoming more and more expensive, electric cars are a “more interesting story” than they were five years ago.

However, many people have reservations about e-mobility: “But once you've driven it, you realize that charging isn't a problem at all.

You can find charging stations everywhere – it’s no longer rocket science.” The operation is easy, emphasizes Klaus Hochwind, sales manager at 17er-Oberlandenergie.

Everything runs via the “Moqo” app.

Anyone who has registered and completed the verification process for their driving license can book and open the car using the app.

There is no monthly basic fee and no fixed membership.
