The carnival in Penzberg is entering its final spurt: first the women's ball, then “Gaudi without borders” and on Sunday the carnival parade in the city center.
Penzberg – The hot phase is approaching in the Penzberg carnival.
After the women's ball next Thursday, February 8th, from 8 p.m. in the town hall, “Gaudi without borders” will follow one day later.
And on Carnival Sunday, October 11th, the Gaudiwurm will snake its way through downtown Penzberg again.

17 groups have registered for Gaudiwurm
According to Benedikt Brennauer from the Penzberger Fasching Organizing Committee (OK), a total of 17 groups have registered for the parade;
Ten of them come with carnival floats and seven are foot groups.
Local clubs such as the ESV, the Jungritter and AC Penzberg will be there, many of which have been taking part in the parade for years.
This year, new groups also registered;
including the parents' council of the secondary school and the youth of the BRK.
1001 Nights and city politics
Some of the groups would be based on the carnival motto “A Thousand and One Nights”.
But urban political issues would also be taken up during the move.
Brennauer doesn't want to reveal more in advance.
The installation will take place at the Heinrich Campendonk Museum from 1 p.m.
From there the entourage will set off towards the city center around 2 p.m.
It moves along Philippstrasse to the train station and then along Bahnhofstrasse to the town square.
There will be a carnival hustle and bustle here, says Brennauer.
The band “Gletscherguys” will perform during the evening.

Strength, skill and speed with Gaudi without limits
Two days before, eight teams will compete against each other in six games at “Gaudi without Borders” in the old gymnasium at the new “Piorama” family pool.
As always, the teams - all well-known warriors from previous years - have to demonstrate strength, skill and speed, said organizer Ramona Reinhardt.
She and her team came up with a lot of new competitions this year and also tested their practical suitability.
The games start at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.).
Entry costs 6 euros for adults.
Children and young people pay 4 euros.
