This Tuesday, the National Government is carrying out a series of urgent negotiations to try to unblock the approval, in particular, of the more than 300 articles of the Omnibus Law, which the Chamber of Deputies must discuss this afternoon.
Shortly before noon, the Minister of the Interior, Guillermo Francos, went to the office of the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, and also maintained contacts with the block heads of the PRO, the UCR and the We Make Federal Coalition, among other spaces that voted in favor of the Law in general in last week's session.
At first it was reported that Francos had brought a new proposal to the deputies, but the opposition blocks took it upon themselves to deny that there was a new offer from the Government.
Until after noon, the dialogue deputies confirmed that the opinion that was released last Friday was maintained.
Until now, the most conflictive points are the distribution of the proceeds collected by the PAIS Tax - the governors demand that part of what is accumulated with the tax on the purchase of dollars be shared - and also the chapter referring to the privatizations of companies in the State.
The ruling party would also have difficulties advancing the security chapter, especially after the incidents that occurred last week in front of Congress.
After meeting with the Minister of the Interior, the presidents of the dialogue blocs held a zoom meeting with the governors of Together for Change.
An opposition source said that the Government continues to promise things, but the problem remains focused on the fact that the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, refuses to establish contact with the governors to unblock the approval of the law.
But according to a version that circulated in Congress, in the last hours the head of the Treasury Palace began calling the governors of Together for Change in an attempt to unblock the approval of the norm.
An important PRO deputy who was in the zoom meeting with the governors revealed that there would be an agreement so that the issue of the PAIS tax and the fiscal package would be dealt with together after the approval of the Omnibus Law.
However, the rest of the dialogue groups denied that there was a proposal from the Executive to modify the rule.
