Shortly before departure for Istanbul, a man was arrested at Munich Airport at the end of last year.
He had a staggering amount of cash stuffed into his suitcases.

The man was already at the counter to take his plane to Istanbul.
Shortly beforehand, however, customs officials found his two suitcases - full of cash.
Munich Airport – It was already a few weeks ago, but the customs officials at Munich Airport will certainly remember this incident well.
At the end of December, specifically on December 27th.
Last year, employees made a memorable discovery while x-raying the luggage they had dropped off: stacks of banknotes were stuffed into two suitcases, totaling a total of 1,400,000 euros.
The officers immediately started looking for the owner of the two suitcases and quickly found them.

At the counter of a flight waiting to depart for Istanbul, a 44-year-old German of Iranian descent was identified and arrested as the suspected owner of the two suitcases.
The man, who wanted to fly to Istanbul, stuffed the cash into two suitcases.

As the Federal Police further reports, at the request of the public prosecutor, the investigating judge at the Landshut District Court ordered the seizure of cash and two cell phones from the suspect, who lived in the Munich area, and issued an arrest warrant on the strong suspicion of money laundering.

During the immediate search of his apartment by investigators from the Munich Customs Investigation Office, small amounts of cash and a money counting machine were seized.
Just a few weeks ago, a similar case occurred at the airport - albeit with a smaller amount of cash in the luggage.
