The Justice of
Mendoza
sentenced this Tuesday the leader of the
Polo Obrero Martín Rodríguez
to
two years and 8 months of
conditional prison for blocking the streets in that province
on seven occasions
.
Rodríguez was accused of violating article 194 of the Penal Code, which establishes a sentence of three months to two years in prison for anyone who, "without creating a situation of common danger, prevents, hinders or hinders the normal operation of land transportation, water or air or public services of communication, provision of water, electricity or energetic substances".
According to local media, the sentence was resolved in an abbreviated trial with Mirna Montaldi as judge, where the accused
acknowledged responsibility for the events
.
The last episode was during the march that took place on January 31 to protest against the Omnibus Law that was being debated in the National Congress.
